Fantasy Football GW 6

Updated: Nov 5, 2020

A decent week for us at Inside Forward in GW 5 with plenty of points captaining Son, assists from Chilwell, Creswell and Robertson, Zaha putting away his penalty and Dominic Calvert-Lewin CL continuing his terrific start to the season.

After European outings for those in the Champions League and Europa League, we may see some managers rotate their teams to keep players fit and healthy in this intense season.

Aston Villa go into GW 6 with the only 100% record in the league. They kept their third clean sheet in four games only conceding in their 7-2 victory over Liverpool. Villa have surprised many including me after narrowly escaping relegation last season. Mings and Konsa have looked solid and have both chipped in with a goal, bringing one of them into the team at a decent price, 5.2 and 4.6 respectively, looks a good move while they are on a good run. With Leeds and Southampton next up they should manage another clean sheet if they continue playing the way they have.

Another team who have been consistent for the past few seasons, Wolves, look like they will continue to pick up clean sheets against the teams outside the top six. They are playing 3 at the back and Kilman looks a bargain. Further up the pitch, Neto has replaced Jota as their left sided attacker and will pick up points for a cheap price.

James Rodriguez will likely be out this weekend with a small injury suffered in the derby, Everton's fixtures are good for the next month so it's probably best to just bench him rather than looking to replace.

Liverpool took their front three off on the 60 minute mark so they should be fresh enough for Sheff Utd on Saturday 8pm Kick off. Firmino is not a huge scorer of goals and brings something else to the team which is priceless but Diogo Jota is pushing for a starting place. He has been very impressive when he has played in the red shirt and he must be giving Klopp a good selection problem. Sheff Utd have struggled for goals so Robertson, highlighted in GW 5 preview, could come away with a clean sheet and possible assist points.

Fulham may be able to get their first win of the season, nothing came off for Mitrović against Sheff Utd last week but if he has his shooting boots on, Palace will be in for a long day in West London. Palace were very poor vs Brighton last week with their only shot on goal being the penalty scored by Zaha.

Tariq Lamptey has made the headlines this season with his high energy and entertaining performances. Another reasonably priced wing back who has a good chance to get points this weekend at home against West Brom.

Captain Pick

I would recommend sticking with Son. He only came off the bench for 30 minutes against LASK in the Europa league so will be fresh. Players will need to be rested this season and Mourinho is managing that well so far. Kane and Son were rested, playing a struggling Burnley on Monday night looks like Tottenham will continue their impressive scoring streak.
